Features
Survey reporting built for your data.
Lumero gives you the employee experience survey analysis and reporting you're looking for.
Setup
All you need is a spreadsheet.
Columns hold your survey questions and demographics, rows hold responses.
From any survey tool that exports
If your current tool can export a spreadsheet of raw respondent data, Lumero can work with it. Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Medallia, and many more allow you to download exactly what we need. Others may require a little more work or planning (such as Workday Peakon or CultureAmp). Get in touch to discuss your situation.
Supporting a wide range of question types
Have you used a 5-point agreement scale, a 7-point satisfaction scale, stars, sliders, matrix questions, or dropdown lists? We support questions with all sorts of rating scales, plus ranked lists and open-ended comment questions. Again get in touch if you've been even more creative in your survey design.
Any scale
Designed for surveys of almost any size, from small teams through to thousands of respondents across dozens of questions.
Reporting pages
Get the reports you expect.
Each reporting page in Lumero shines a different light on your data, interacting with the Launchpad (described below) to give you access to demographic data, trend (historical) data, or cross tabs. Core to Lumero is the ability to make comparisons.
Response Numbers
Reported as straight numbers, and as percentages if you provide population details.
Individual Questions
Select any one survey question and access Lumero's full range of visualisations to report on it.
Question Groups
Select any group of questions that share the same question type and view results side-by-side. A Question Group can also be turned into an Index, averaging scores into a single number (for example, an Engagement Index or a Health and Safety Index).
Biggest Gaps
Select two groups and see where the biggest differences lie (e.g. how the Sales team score against the overall organisation). See your Biggest Positive Gaps, Biggest Negative Gaps, and a Gap Overview that plots the gaps for all questions on a single chart.
Highest and Lowest Rated Questions
All questions ranked by overall score, reported in two separate charts.
Heatmap
All questions across all demographic groups in a colour-coded grid. Identify patterns rapidly without question-by-question searching.
Comments
Open-ended question responses displayed as filterable comment cards.
Key Driver Analysis (optional)
Identifies which questions most influence your key outcome (most often employee engagement) using professional statistical methods. Includes a Performance/Impact matrix. Key Driver questions can be saved as a question group, enabling full demographic reporting. Available for surveys with 100 or more respondents and a suitable questionnaire; we confirm eligibility during setup.
Data & the Launchpad
Any data, any report.
Demographics
Break down survey results by demographic groups like position level, age, length of service, etc. Lumero supports nested hierarchies, so you can reflect your full organisation structure (for example, division, department, then team) and drill down to any level, allowing almost unlimited comparisons.
Cross tabs
Cross tabbing is a powerful feature that allows you to re-cut your demographic reporting as needs require. Combine groups for reporting (for example, merge Team A and Team B), or filter to a specific cross-section (for example, Team A respondents with less than six months' tenure). Define a cross tab group once and it can be used on any reporting page.
Trend data (optional)
Compare results to any previous survey. We'll work with you on how to map questions and demographics over time (as question or group names may change), and then Lumero reports on anything we agree is "the same."
Visualisations
Visualisations for employee survey data.
How scores are calculated
Most survey platforms report the response distribution for each question, showing the proportion of people choosing each option. In addition, Lumero gives you a percentage favourable score: the proportion of people who selected the positive options (for example, Agree and Strongly Agree in a 5-point scale). A single number makes results easy to communicate and compare.
Chart types
Every page includes its own visualisation options: bar, column, stacked bar, donut and pie charts, and table views. The Heatmap uses a specially formatted grid, and Key Driver Analysis plots every question on a Performance/Impact scatter matrix.
Full display control
Every chart is highly configurable: font size, decimal places, data labels, respondent numbers, titles, axis labels, gridlines, and legend. Save settings per chart or globally.
Use your brand colours
Lumero's chart colour palette for demographics can be customised with your organisation's brand colours.
Report distribution
Results in the right hands.
Online reporting
When you take the option to distribute results using online report logins, anyone you nominate gets their own Lumero account with access configured to just the reporting pages and data sources you choose. Typical configurations range from team leaders who see only their team's results, through senior leaders with broader access, to HR/PX administrators with full access.
People leader reports
The most direct way to get survey results to a people leader is a report containing only what they need. We design a branded template with you using any combination of Lumero's charts, tables, and your supporting commentary, then produce a unique version for every people leader you nominate. Most clients work with a single template, though we can design more than one when different leader levels need different reports (for example frontline team leaders versus leaders of multiple teams).
Security and confidentiality
Secure, confidential, and private.
Confidentiality thresholds
No results, including individual comments, are shown for any group below your minimum respondent count. The default is five respondents and is configurable. Applied automatically across every page and view.
Isolated and encrypted
Every Lumero client's data is completely isolated from every other client's, enforced at both the application and database level. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using TLS.
Layered access controls
Multiple rules ensure that people can only access the results that you specify.
